Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Corban's FAFSA code?
A:The Corban College FAFSA code is 001339.

Q: How do I pay the balance due after financial aid is applied?
A: Click here.

Q: What is the difference between the Business Office and the Financial Aid Office?
A: The Business Office and the Financial Aid Office are two separate offices. Your student account is located in the Business Office. They will apply the charges for the cost of attendance and the Financial Aid Office will disburse aid that will be applied as credits on your student account.

Before class begins, you should have a plan in place with the Business Office to pay for the balance due after financial aid is applied. For more information on ways to pay the balance, click here.

To see your Business Office student account information, visit the Student Information Services site (SIS) at https://sis.corban.edu/studentservices/7390/crindex.cgi
and click on “Billing”.

To see your Financial Aid information online visit https://aid.corban.edu.

Note: Your PIN is different for each site. For information about your PIN for SIS, contact the Business Office at 503-375-7030. Log in instructions for the Financial Aid Online site are located on that page or you can contact the Financial Aid Office at 503-375-7006.

Q: What is the difference between Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans?
A: Both loans have the equivalent of a 1.5% loan fee (if you make the first 12 payments on time) and no payments while in school, however the unsubsidized loan has interest accruing while in school and the subsidized does not.

Q: Can I (or my parents) get a tax credit for being in school?
A: Visit www.finaid.org/otheraid/tax.phtml. This is just an overview of the programs and is not tax advice. Please contact a tax professional for complete details or visit www.irs.gov.

Q: If I need more loans, what are my options?
A: Click here.

Q: When is the balance after financial aid due?
A: The balance after financial aid is due by registration. If that is not possible, contact the Business Office at 503-375-7030 to set up a monthly payment plan. If additional loans will be necessary, the Financial Aid Office (503-375-7006) can inform you about borrowing options.
