Remuneration:
- As a part-time, 12 month, exempt position, an annual salary of $13,000.
- Possible full-time coaching/faculty or staff position depending upon qualifications and college needs.
Minumum Qualifications:
- Have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Maintain consistent attendance in a Baptist church or a church of like faith and practice which is in agreement with Corban’s statement of faith.
- Evidence of spiritual leadership within a Christian environment. Intentional in promoting/developing individual and team ministry experiences.
- Have knowledge of soccer, the art of coaching, and program development.
- Combination of: earned degree from an accredited institution, professional certifications, and extensive participation and coaching experience in the sport of soccer.
- Demonstrate ability to be flexible, open minded, and team oriented.
- Demonstrate competence in recruiting, managing time, budgets, scheduling, supervision and evaluation of student-athletes, along with other administrative functions associated with coaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Record of excellence in program development with current college level soccer coaching experience.
- Coaching, teaching and/or administrative experience in a Christian college setting.
Major Responsibilities:
The Head Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for the spiritual, educational, and athletic growth of the student-athletes participating on the men’s soccer team. By example and leadership, the coach will design, implement, organize, and oversee the men’s soccer program in all areas. The coach must be a strong, competent recruiter of student-athletes to Corban College. The coach will be responsible for all financial and operational elements necessary to promote, build, and maintain a successful soccer program. The coach is expected to work together with, and maintain positive relationships within, the various groups of the athletic department and Corban College. The coach will be expected to work with the athletics department and college with fundraising activities leading to facility improvements. The coach reports and is accountable to the Director of Athletics and the Dean of Athletics/Activities.
