Position Description:
Position Begins: July 1, 2009. We would like to begin the interview process June 15, 2009.
Description: Corban College is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach. The Coach is expected to be an active learner in the field, an excellent manager of personnel and time, and an involved member of the college and the community. The College places a high priority on the ability to model the integration of faith and learning.
Responsibilities: The Assistant Softball Coach will assist in the development of student athletes spiritually academically and athletically. This includes but will not be limited to the planning and implementation of practice, instruction of athletes, recruiting, travel to games, and various other responsibilities assigned by the head coach.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's in Sport Management or related field preferred.
Experience: College level experience or related area is desirable. Candidate will have strong background in the field of coaching and softball, an ability to work positively with athletes and other members of the coaching staff, and the ability to work within the system outlined by the head coach.
Character: Candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the College’s statement of faith, be committed to the integration of Biblical principles within the athletic department and be willing to invest his/herself in the development of student/athletes.
