- When is graduation?
Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m., doors open at 1 p.m.
- Where is graduation?
Salem Armory Auditorium, 2320 17th Street NE, Salem, OR 97309
- What time do I need to be there?
You should have your cap and gown on and be in your assigned seat in the auditorium by 12:15 p.m. for a short rehearsal. You will then proceed to the commencement staging area.
Graduation is a ticketed event. Students will receive 8 tickets to invite guests to the ceremony. Tickets will be available at Grad Finale or by mail. Handicap seating will be available in the auditorium. Please check in with the ushers at the door who will show you to the handicap seating area. Please see the graduation website for additional ticket requests.
- How do I get my cap and gown?
Your cap and gown will be available for pick up on Thursday, February 7 from 2–6 p.m. at the Grad Finale being held in Schimmel Hall, room 212. If you are unable to come at this time, you may arrange for a friend to pick up your cap and gown for you. Your friend will need to bring a note from you granting permission to pick up your regalia. If regalia is not picked up that day: ADP students can pick up their cap and gowns at the ADP house, all other students may contact the Registrar’s office.
Regalia will not be available for pick up commencement day.
- Is there a rehearsal?
Yes, graduation rehearsal will be Saturday, May 4 at 12:15 p.m. in the Salem Armory Auditorium. All students who are participating in graduation need to be in their cap and gown and in their assigned seat in the auditorium at that time. Rehearsal will last approximately 1/2 hour.
- Will I get my diploma that day?
No, Diplomas will be mailed to graduates. August and December Grads should have already received diplomas in the mail. May Grads, your diploma will be mailed 4–6 weeks after the graduation ceremony.
- Will photographs be taken during the graduation ceremony?
GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. Proofs will be sent to your home and via e-mail within three to five days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone or by mail. GradImages can be contacted at 800-261-2576 or via e-mail at www.gradimages.com.
Registering your graduate with Grad Images provides them with the information they need to deliver your graduation proofs to you in a timely manner. Giving them an accurate mailing address and email address will allow them to get your proofs to you on the first try. You may pre-register for this event by going to: www.gradimages.com, and clicking on the pre-event registration link. Type in: Corban University for event and fill in the blanks. You will receive $5 off of your order of $25 by pre-registering.
- How do I order graduation announcements or a class ring?
Graduation announcements and class rings can be ordered online directly from Jostens at www.jostens.com. Jostens representatives will be available at our Grad Finale on Thursday, February 7 from 2–6 p.m. in Schimmel 212, Emitte Center.
