Former Foot Locker All-American to run for Corban College

Two-time Foot Locker All-American Danielle Jordan has signed a letter of intent to run cross country at Corban College beginning in the fall of 2006.

SALEM, Ore. – Former two-time Foot Locker All-American Danielle Jordan (Medford, Ore.) has signed a cross country letter of intent for the 2006 season, as announced today by third-year head coach Norm Berney.
Jordan arrives at Corban following two seasons at NCAA Division I member Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. With the Lady Flames, Jordan was a two-time all-Big South Conference team member and a member of the All-Academic Team following her sophomore season. Jordan finished a season-high 4th at the Big South Championships, 6th at Festival in the Fields, and 13th at the Lou Onesty Cavalier Invite during 2004 freshman season. During her 2005 sophomore season, Jordan finished a season-high 5th at the Virginia Military Institute Invitational, 56th at the Stanford Invitational, 146th at the Pre-Nationals Invitational, and 8th at the Big South Conference meet. In track & field, Jordan was the Big South Conference runner-up in the 5000m (indoor) and 10,000m (outdoor) events.
Prior to Liberty, Jordan was home schooled in Medford, Oregon, and arrive in Lynchburg with personal bests of 4:42 for the 1500, 10:00 in the 3000, and 18:12 in the 5000m. Jordan finished 18th at the Foot Locker West during her junior and senior seasons, while finishing 3rd in the Oregon 4A State Cross Country Championships as a senior. Jordan was the runner-up in the 3000m at the Oregon 4A Track meet in her junior season and currently holds seven district titles in the 3000m and the 1500m. Jordan was Oregon 3A state champion in the 3000m following 2002 sophomore season, four-time BorderClash finalist, and was named to the all-state team four times.
Jordan biggest accomplishment to date was finishing 3rd overall at the BorderClash during her junior year and was the 1st Oregon girl to finish the event.
Last season, Corban’s women’s cross country team recorded their highest finish (7th place) at the Boxer Rebellion and the Lewis & Clark Invitational. The Warriors finished 9th at the NAIA Region I Championships.
Corban was led by sophomore Jill Nielsen and freshman Katrina Davis, who each led the Warriors in three races.
