LA GRANDE, Ore. - Senior midfielder Sarah Whaley (Gresham, Ore.) was named as a member of the NAIA All-Region I Second Team earlier today when the announcement was made from the regional office following a final campaign in which the co-captain handed out four assists.

During her final season at Corban, Whaley appeared in and started all 19 games while registering 16 totals shots including 11 on goal.

In four seasons as a Warrior, the 5-foot-6 Sam Barlow High School graduate accounted for five goals and 10 assists in 66 games. While donning the navy and gold, Whaley tallied 20 total points from her midfield position.

Whaley joins eight other Cascade Collegiate Conference players on this season's all-region team, including seven players from Concordia and one from Oregon Tech.

This is the first all-region honor for Whaley following all-conference 1st team accolades this season and an all-conference 2nd team honor following her 2005 sophomore season.

Corban concluded the 2007 season with an overall record of 10-9-0, 7-3-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.
