PORTLAND, Ore. - Sophomore Marissa Walter (Elk Grove, Calif.) had the best chance to score for the Warriors and junior Karyn Allen (Merlin, Ore.) recorded a game-high six saves, as Corban's women's soccer team fell to the NAIA's No. 8-ranked Cavaliers of Concordia, 1-0, on Saturday at The Yard.

Despite a scoreless first half, Corban's best chance to get on the board came via Walter's shot in the 13th minute when she spun her body around and whirled a kick that sailed two feet wide right of a diving Concordia net-minder.

Meanwhile, Concordia's lone goal came in the 67th minute when Jackie Pronovost took a free kick from 35 yards out that went through a crowd of people and found a wide open Kaitlyn Tebbs, who tapped home a five yard shot that Allen was not able to see until it went into the back of the net.

Walter and freshman Erin Laughlin (Ephrata, Wash.) recorded Corban's only two shots with neither heading on goal.

Allen manned the Warriors' net and made a game-high six saves, while Concordia's Leah Flores did not need to make a save en route to picking up the shutout.

With the loss, Corban falls to 3-5-0 overall, 1-1-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Meanwhile, Concordia improves to 6-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 in CCC action. The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, September 19th, against first-year CCC member Northwest Christian beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Eugene.
