LA MIRADA, Calif. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' (NAIA) No.21-ranked Biola women's soccer team picked up where it left a week ago with another three-goal outburst in a 3-1 win over Corban College Saturday night.

The Eagles, who remain undefeated in the 2006 season, run their record to 2-0-1 overall while Corban dropped to 2-4-0.

Freshman midfielder Bethany Wikfors broke up a 1-1 tie in the 61st minute with a great finish off a cross by fellow freshman midfielder Ashley Moseley.

Moseley would seal the deal in the 85th minute with a blast of her own from 10 yards out. Another freshman--defender Becky Mossman--found Moseley with a quick touch off junior defender Laurelle Robertson's corner.

Senior forward Jenni Loya got Biola on the board midway through the first half with her second goal in as many matches. Loya tapped home a pass from freshman midfielder Zoe Zappas after a great cross by Robertson.

Corban pulled even in the 35th minute as freshman Kacie Emerick (Bellingham, Wash.), took a pass from fellow freshman and native-Californian Marissa Walters (Elk Grove, Calif.), and snuak a shot past the Biola defense off a scramble in the box.

That was the only blemish on an otherwise perfect night by the Eagles' senior netminder Keri Schultz who made four saves for her second victory of the year.

Biola turned up the offensive pressure in the second 45 minutes after an evenly played first half, outshooting Corban 11-1 in the final frame.

Corban returns to action in a neutral site contest against San Diego Christian College beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 11th) on Al Barbour Field in La Mirada, California.
