PORTLAND, Ore. - Sophomore Megan Waunch (Tumwater, Wash.) scored her 1st goal of the season in the 87th minute to tie the game at 2-apiece, but it was not enough as Corban fell 3-2 in overtime to Warner Pacific on Wednesday night to open the 2005 Cascade Collegiate Conference portion of their schedule.

For the first time ever, the Warriors fell victim to the Knights of Warner Pacific, despite dominating all three of the offensive categories, including total shots (30-7), shots on goal (11-3), and corner kicks (5-0).

Less than 30 seconds later, freshman midfielder Amber Wihtol (Medford, Ore.) scored her 1st collegiate goal on an assist from senior Sarah Officer (Steilacoom, Wash.), which tied the game at 1-apiece.

Six minutes later, Chan put the host Knights up 2-1 when she and Dodrill teamed once again for Warner Pacific.

Neither team scored again until Waunch took a pass from Officer and tied the game at 2-2 with 3:01 left on the clock.  In the final 3 minutes, both neither team could score sending the game into overtime.

Just over 8 minutes into overtime, Warner Pacific’s Kelsey Walton ended the game when she scored the “Golden Goal” giving the host Knights the victory.
