SALEM, Ore. – Former Portland State player and North Medford High School graduate Kailey Bostwick (Medford, Ore.) signed a Letter of Intent to play for ninth-year head coach Terry Williams and Corban's women's basketball team yesterday beginning next season.

Bostwick comes to Corban after a two-year playing career at NCAA Division I member Portland State University. The 5-foot-6 point guard appeared in 44 games for the Vikings, starting three, and averaged 1.8 points, 0.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.4 steals per game. During her sophomore season, Bostwick scored a career-high 17 points off the bench against cross-town rival the University of Portland on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc and 5-for-6 at the free throw line.

Prior to attending Portland State, Bostwick prepped at North Medford High School where she was a four-year letter winner in basketball. Bostwick was named honorable mention all-state following her junior and senior seasons, while earning Southern Oregon Conference (SOC) accolades four times including a pair of 1st team honors and being named as a 2005 McDonald's All-American nominee. While wearing a Tornado uniform, Bostwick earned the team's Best Offensive Player three years in a row and was named team MVP after her junior campaign. As a sophomore, Bostwick was named the team's Most Inspirational and Most Improved Player. Along with her basketball achievements, Bostwick also earned All-SOC honors in cross country as a sophomore.

"Kailey is going to bring a lot of experience to the program next season," said Williams. "With her time playing against D-I caliber players, she will help our players prepare for a tough schedule next season as well as bring a go-get-em attitude to the court at all times."

Bostwick becomes the seventh recruit that Williams has signed this off-season joining high school seniors Jenessa Miller (Freeman HS), Ashlee Jensen (Yuba City HS), Natasha Crisman (Stayton HS), Andrea Greeley (West Salem, HS), and Katie Stewart (Willamette HS), as well as junior college transfer Margie Lou Correl (Wenatchee Valley College).

Corban will tip off the 2007-08 season on Saturday, November 3rd, when the Warriors host Golden State Athletic Conference member Concordia University-Irvine beginning at 2:00 p.m. inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
