BOX SCORE
ASHLAND, Ore. – Freshman Chelsea Reeher (Powell Butte, Ore.) led Corban College with a team-high 10 kills, but it was not enough as the Warriors suffered a loss, 3-0 (16-30, 12-30, 23-30), to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ (NAIA) No. 15-ranked Southern Oregon on Friday evening.
In a match that lasted only 71 minutes, Corban seemed over matched as they recording only 26 kills, as Reeher (pictured right) was the only Warrior in double figures.

Senior setter Ashley Walbridge (Troutdale, Ore.) led the Warriors with a team-high 21 assists, while junior libero Becky Horn (Troutdale, Ore.) recorded a team-high 9 digs.
In game one, Corban seemed to go toe-to-toe with the host Raiders thanks to 11 kills and only 4 hitting errors, but could not overcome a game in which Southern Oregon recorded 21 kills and merely 1 hitting error en route to a match-high .588 hitting percentage and a 14-point victory (30-16).
In the middle game, Corban recorded the same number of kills as errors (6-6) and watched one of the top ranked teams in the nation record 19 kills and committed only 2 hitting errors en route to another .500-plus hitting percentage (.567) and a 18-point victory (30-12).
In the third and final game, Corban upped their kill total to 9, but still could not eliminate the Raiders from recording another double-digit kill total (14) and watched as Southern Oregon took the final game by 7 points (30-23) and swept the visiting Warriors.
Nicholette Le Bel led Southern Oregon with a match-high 19 kills, while Shanna Claflin and Rachel Baran added 10 and 9 kills respectively. Setter Jamie McCreary led the Raiders with a match-high 35 assists, while Haley Phillips anchored SOU’s back line with a match-high 15 digs.
With the loss, Corban falls to 3-8 overall, 3-4 in Cascade Collegiate play. Southern Oregon improves to 13-3 overall, 5-1 in Cascade Collegiate play.
