GRESHAM, Ore. – Sophomore Tera Stegner (Damascus, Ore.) and junior Carli Moller (Vancouver, Wash.) lead a host of Warriors that were competing on Day #2 of the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships, as the duo placed in the top five in the 400 and 1,500 meter runs respectively at Mt. Hood Community College.

With eleven Warriors competing on the second day of the conference championship, Corban was looking to add another qualifier along side senior Danielle Jordan (Medford, Ore.) at the NAIA Championship later this month.

Freshman Ali Ghavami (Keizer, Ore.) began the list of competitors today, as she took part in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase. The former McNary High School graduate placed fifth overall thanks to a time of 12:28.44 in the finals. Ghavami's time was just under five seconds faster than her previous personal best, which she set at the Concordia/Mt. Hood Invite that concluded the regular season.

Fellow freshmen Bianca Davis (Ontario, Ore.) and Lauren Nolz (Salem, Ore.) competed in the Warriors' second event of the day -- the long jump. Davis finished tied for sixth thanks to a jump of 4.97 meters (16-feet, 3.75 inches), while Nolz placed 14th with a leap of 4.17 meters (13-feet, 8.25 inches).

After Davis and Nolz took part in the women's long jump, Corban's 4x100 meter relay team took the track and finished fourth overall in a time of 52.73. The Warriors' relay team consisted of Davis, Nolz, freshman Karissa Griggs (Athena, Ore.), and freshman Erin Laughlin (Ephrata, Wash.).

In the Warriors' fourth event of the evening, Moller and senior Jill Nielsen (Baker City, Ore.) took part in the 1,500 meter run. Moller turned in a fourth place showing thanks to a time of 4:48.38, while Nielsen finished four spots behind her teammate with a time of 4:56.26.

In the men's 1,500 meter run, freshman Jason Hardrath (Baker City, Ore.) finished sixth in Section #1 thanks to a time of 4:24.44 before junior Jason Bernard (Salem, Ore.) turned in a 10th place showing in Section #2 in a time of 4:07.88 to qualify for the finals. In the finals, Bernard's Section #2 time was good enough for 10th overall.

In the women's 400 meter dash, Stegner turned in the Warriors' best showing of the day thanks to a third place finish in a time of 59.81. Meanwhile, Laughlin finished fourth in Section #1 thanks to a time of 1:04.33. Stegner's performance in Section #2 ranked third overall, while Laughlin's time was good enough for 12th overall.

In the Warriors' final event of the day, Nolz competed in the 100 meter dash and finished fourth in Section #1 thanks to a time of 14.13 which was good enough for 12th among all runners.
