Beth Mayben begins her first season as assistant coach at Corban, while serving last season as a volunteer assistant coach under former head coach Michelle Hext.

Beth, who graduated from Corban in 2006, played one season for the Warriors in 2005 after transferring from Blue Mountain Community College.

As a Warriors, Mayben set the single season mark for hits with 44 and hit by pitch with 11, while ranking second in batting average (.364), 5th in at-bats (121), 7th in runs scored (21), 7th in total bases (57), 10th in slugging percentage (.471), 2nd in on-base percentage (.483), 2nd in walks (17), and 2nd in stolen bases (11).

“Corban is a great place,” said Beth.  “The ability to pray at practice is awesome.  My philosophy is that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Beth currently resides with her husband, Nate, in Salem and works for the Salem-Keizer School District.
