PORTLAND, Ore. – The freshman duo of Jennifer Kollaer (Albany, Ore.) and Jessie Jones (Gladstone, Ore.) capped amazing first years as a Warrior by being named as members of the NAIA All-Region I Team, as announced earlier today by the regional information director.

Kollaer and Jones were two of three freshman that were named as a part of the 18-player all-region team joining fellow freshman Chrissy Caviglia of Simon Fraser University.

Kollaer, a freshman pitcher/outfielder, missed 10 games due to numerous injuries and still led the Warriors in batting with a .466 average. The West Albany High School graduate also led the team in doubles (8), runs batted in (27), total bases (60), slugging percentage (.682), and on-base percentage (.500). Kollaer finished second on the team in hits (41) and triples (1), while finishing third in home runs with four.

Single-season-wise, Kollaer set the new mark for batting average (.466) and on-base percentage (.500), while ranking in the top ten in nine other offensive categories.

In the circle, Kollaer was the Warriors' No. 2 pitcher making 15 appearances that included 11 games started. The right-hander struck out 46 batters in 74.1 innings, while amassing a win-loss record of 4-7 and an Earned Run Average of 3.48 in her first collegiate season.

Jones, a freshman infielder, was the Warriors' "table setter" all year from the lead off position and ended her first collegiate season as the team leader in at-bats (121), runs scored (28), hits (42), and stolen bases (16). The Gladstone High School graduate broke the school's single-season record for stolen bases, as Jones swiped 16 bases this season to rank second in the conference.

In the Warriors' single-season record books, Jones is fourth in runs scored (28), fourth in hits (42), tied for fifth in at-bats (121), tied for fifth in triples (1), and tenth in on-base percentage (.389).

Corban ended its season with its best record since 2005, as the Warriors amassed a win-loss record of 15-22 that included an 11-13 record in conference play. First-year head coach Nathan Ohta will return 10 players from this season roster, as well as adding three players that sat out this season with injuries, to go along with the recruits that he brings in for next season.
