KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Junior Karlee Sisler (Corvallis, Ore.) hit her team-leading sixth home run of the season to go along with sophomore Josie Strange's (Chehalis, Wash.) first collegiate long ball, as Corban's softball team dropped a pair of games, 11-7 & 10-5, to Oregon Tech Saturday at the OIT Softball Complex.

In an attempt to snap Oregon Tech's 10-game winning streak, Corban arrives in K-Falls having won eight of its last 12 games that included a four-game and three-game winning streak.

Game #1 - Oregon Tech 11, Corban 7

In the opener, Oregon Tech put four runs on the board in the first inning highlighted by a pair of bases loaded walks.

Despite trailing by four runs in the second inning, Corban began the slow climb back as Strange led off the inning being hit by a pitch. One batter later, sophomore Jessica Pierce (Kennewick, Wash.) singled to left field allowing each runner to advance one base. One batter later, senior Jennifer Childers (Winston, Ore.) singled allowing Pierce to score from second for the Warriors' opening run of the afternoon.

After falling behind by four runs once again thanks to a solo home run to left field by OIT's Katie King in the bottom of the second inning, Corban exploded for five runs in the top of the third inning.

Freshman Jessie Jones (Gladstone, Ore.) led off the inning with a single to right field before advancing to second on fellow freshman Jennifer Kollaer's (Albany, Ore.) single to right field. Senior Lindsay Batey (Aloha, Ore.) walked to load the bases before Strange roped a single to left field that allowed Jones to score from third. Sisler then continued the Warriors' scoring with a two-run double that scored Kollaer and Batey. Pierce registered Corban's second straight double that allowed Strange to score from third. Two batters later, junior Megan Gaylord (Portland, Ore.) singled to bring home Sisler just before Pierce was thrown out at home attempting to score the Warriors' sixth run of the inning.

Oregon Tech took a one-run lead in the bottom of the third inning following Sunceray Titus' two-run home run to left field, which was her second home run in three games against Corban this season.

After a scoreless inning, Sisler tied the game at 7-all with her lead-off home run to center field that accounted for her team-leading sixth home run and 16th run batted in of the season.

In the top of the sixth inning, Oregon Tech scored four runs, as Brittany Warren provided the highlight via a double to left field to drive in the game-winning RBI allowing Jenni Bittle to score.

Offensively, Sisler and Pierce registered two hits each to go along with five other Warriors -- Jones, Kollaer, Strange, Childers, and Gaylord -- who each tallied a hit. Pitching-wise, Kollaer went the distance for Corban allowing 11 runs (three earned) on 13 hits to go along with eight strikeouts.

Oregon Tech was led by Titus and Warren, who each registered three hits to go along with Bittle's 2-for-4 performance at the plate. In the circle, Bittle went the distance allowing seven runs (all earned) on nine hits to go along with a game-high nine K's.

Game #2 - Oregon Tech 10, Corban 5

In the night cap, Corban opened the scoring in the top of the second inning when Sisler led off with a single to right field before advancing to second on Pierce's bunt single. An error by OIT's third baseman loaded the bases for Gaylord, who registered a run-scoring single that plated Sisler from third for the game's opening run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Oregon Tech put three runs on the board highlighted by a pair of run-scoring singles and a steal of home.

Corban tied the game in the top of the fourth inning, as Jones singled to bring home Childers before Gaylord scored on a error by the Owls' left fielder.

After back-to-back scoreless frames, Oregon Tech put seven runs on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning highlighted by Warren's two-run home run that scored the inning's final two runs.

The Warriors attempted a comeback over the final two innings, but could not get any closer than five runs via Strange's first home run of the season -- a blast to left field.

Gaylord led the Corban offense with a 3-for-4 performance to go along with four 2-for-4 performances by Strange, Sisler, Pierce, and Childers. Junior Erin Sailors (Anchorage, Alaska) pitched the opening 5.0 innings for the Warriors, allowing 10 runs (all earned) on 12 hits to go along with her game-high nine strikeouts. Sisler came in for the game's final inning, allowing a mere hit to go along with one K.

For the Hustlin' Owls, Amber Sinicrope and Jenny Austin each tallied three hits to go along with Bittle and King's 2-for-4 performances. Keri Gesner went the distance for Oregon Tech in the circle, allowing five runs (two earned) on 14 hits to go along with seven strikeouts.

With the losses, Corban falls to 12-19 overall, 9-11 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Meanwhile, Oregon Tech pushes its winning streak to 12 games and improves to 28-10 overall, 16-2 in CCC action.  The Warriors are back in action on Monday, April 21st, when they host the NAIA's No. 12-ranked Simon Fraser beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Warrior Field.
