CALDWELL, Idaho - Junior Jennifer Childers (Windsor, Ore.) drove in three runs in the night cap, including a two-run home run, but Corban's softball team dropped a pair of conference games to the NAIA's No. 23-ranked Coyotes of Albertson on Saturday at Symms Field.

In the third inning of the opener, freshman Siriana Guest (Salem, Ore.) drove in a pair of runs with a single to right field that allowed both sophomore Megan Gaylord (Portland, Ore.) and sophomore Rachel Steigleman (Eugene, Ore.) to score on the play.

Junior starter Kelley Seaton (Salem, Ore.) pitched all 6.0 innings in the circle, while striking out a pair of Coyote batters.

Four different Warriors -- Steigleman, Gaylord, Guest, and freshman Kacie Emerick (Bellingham, Wash.) -- each collected hits off Albertson starter Katie Zillner.

In the night cap, Corban took an early two-run lead (2-0) in the opening inning when Childers singled to shortstop, allowing Gaylord to score before an Emerick single through the left side allowed Guest to score the Warriors' second run of the stanza.

Childer single-handedly extended Corban's lead to four runs (4-0) in the third inning when she connected on her second home run of the season -- a two-run shot over the right-center field fence -- that scored Guest, who led off the inning with a single through the left side of the infield.

Corban's sophomore starter Erin Sailors (Anchorage, Alaska) made her second straight start following two weeks on the shelf with an arm injury and registered a game-high five K's, while throwing 3.0 innings in the circle. Sailors turned the ball over to Seaton and sophomore Karlee Sisler (Corvallis, Ore.), who combined to throw the final 2.2 innings with one strikeout.

On the afternoon, Guest led the Warrior bats with a combined three hits, while Steigleman and Emerick registered a combined two hits each.

For Albertson, Amy Rhoades drove in a double header-high combined five RBIs thanks to a 3-for-9 performance that included three runs scored.

The Warriors now find themselves at 5-29-1 overall, 2-12 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Meanwhile, Albertson pushed its winning streak to six games and now is 29-8 overall, 12-2 in CCC play. Corban will return to the lovely confines of Warrior Field on Friday, April 20th, when the Warriors host the Red Raiders of Southern Oregon in an afternoon double header beginning at 2:00 p.m.
