CALDWELL, Idaho – Senior Scott Marshall (Bend, Ore.) scored his team-leading 9th goal of the season, but it was not enough as Corban's men's soccer team fell, 4-1, to the Cascade Collegiate Conference leading Coyotes of Albertson College of Idaho on Friday.

Four goals in the first 25 minutes of play gave Albertson all the cushion they would need, as the 'Yotes completed a season sweep of the Warriors.

Derek Erstad got the Coyotes on the board in the 11th minute blasting home a shot off a Cameron Johnson touch.  A minute later, Kazuki Murata took a corner kick from the left side and bent the ball in the net for a 2-0 lead.  In the 19th minute, Johnson took a through-ball from Mitch White (off a chip from Brandon Koomler) and beat Corban's freshman goalkeeper Aaron Franklin (Red Bluff, Calif.) for the goal.  ACI capped the barrage in the 25th minute as Brandon Eddy followed a Jesus Lopez shot off the right post with a flick into the open net.

After being outshot 16-2 in the opening half, the Warriors got early momentum, as Marshall rammed home a rebound of his own shot in the 47th minute to tally Corban's lone goal and the senior forward's 54th of his four-year career.  Corban would put pressure on in the second half, but Albertson's goalkeeper Jay Gentle made three saves in the period to keep the Warriors at bay.

Franklin began the game in between the pipes, making a pair of saves in the first 24 minutes, before giving way to sophomore net-minder James DelCastillo (Fairbanks, Alaska) for the final 66 minutes.  DelCastillo recorded a game-high 4 saves, while keeping the net clean compared to ACI's Gentle who also had a game-high 4 saves en route to recording the victory.

Corban is now 6-7-2 overall, 4-5-1 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.  Albertson, who extended their winning streak to six games, improves to 9-5-1 overall, 7-2-0 in CCC play and maintained a full one-game lead over Concordia in the conference standings.
