SALEM, Ore. – Senior forward Scott Marshall (Bend, Ore.) and junior midfielder Caleb Louvier (SeaTac, Wash.) each scored a goal, but it was not enough as Corban's men's soccer team allowed a pair of last minute goals to fall to the visiting Coyotes of Albertson, 3-2, on Saturday.

Louvier began the scoring in the 3rd minute when he teamed with Marshall on a through ball. Louvier took the perfectly placed Marshall pass, dribbled past a defender, and unloaded a shot from 8 yards out into the lower right corner for his team-leading 8th goal of the season.

Less than two minutes later, Marshall netted his 4th goal of the season when he connected with juniors Quinn Neely-Gallagher (Nelson, New Zealand) and Joshua Crain (Olympia, Wash.). Crain began the play by lofting a pass down the sideline to Neely, who after dribbling down the side line sent a cross towards the goal from the far end line. Marshall, who came running from the near sideline, knocked home the Warriors' second goal and quickly put the host team up by a pair of scores.

In the 15th minute, Albertson's Mitch White was fouled inside the penalty box, awarding the Coyotes a free chance to score from 12 yards out. The team's leading goal scorer -- White -- stepped up and calmly placed the ball into the upper left corner for Albertson's first goal of the game.

Over the next 70 minutes, the visiting Coyotes seemed to out-play the host Warriors, but could not crack the mouth of the goal and trailed by a goal until the waning minutes of the game.

Down by a score and having held Corban to a mere 3 shots in the second half, Albertson continued to push forward offensively and tied the game at 2-all when Cameron Johnson teamed with Kazuki Murata in the 84th minute. Murata began the action by dribbling through a host of Warrior defenders before sending a cross over the defense to the awaiting Johnson, who promptly sent the ball into the back of the net.

Just under three minutes later, Albertson got the game-winning goal when Murata lofted a free kick from the end line towards the goal and had it bounce off a Warrior defender and into the back of the net.

With time winding down, Corban made one final push toward the opposing net, but could not crack the 'Yotes defense, as Albertson picked up its first victory in two seasons over Corban.

Freshman goalkeeper Aaron Franklin (Red Bluff, Calif.) recorded a game-high 6 saves while, Albertson's Jay Gentle needed to register a mere 2 saves to pick up the victory.

Corban is now 4-5-1 overall, 2-3-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.  Albertson improves to 4-5-0 overall, 2-2-0 in CCC action.  The Warriors return to action on Thursday, October 5th, when they host the Geoducks of The Evergreen State College beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Warrior Field.
