CALDWELL, Idaho - Junior goalkeeper James DelCastillo (Fairbanks, Alaska) came up big with a game-high nine saves, as Corban's men's soccer team remained unbeaten in Cascade Collegiate Conference play thanks to 0-0 tie in double overtime with the Coyotes of Albertson on Friday.

In a battle of two of the four NAIA Region I Tournament participants from last season, Corban succumbed to a barrage of shots from the host Coyotes as Albertson out-shot its opponent, 21-11.

Despite being out-shot 19-5 through regulation, the visiting Warriors came back in the overtime periods and earned back-to-back three-to-one advantages in the shots category. Unfortunately for Corban, none of its shots could find the back of the net therefore forcing the 110-minute game to end without anyone getting on the scoreboard.

Albertson had the best chance of the game in the second half when Alex Penrod was awarded a penalty shot, but DelCastillo continued to keep the 'Yotes out of the net as the 5-foot-11 net-minder turned away Penrod's penalty kick.

Senior Joshua Crain (Olympia, Wash.) led Corban with 4 shots, including one on goal, while fellow senior Caleb Louvier (SeaTac, Wash.) recorded three shots.

Besides DelCastillo's game-high in saves, Albertson's Jay Gentle needed to record a mere two saves in helping keep the Warriors scoreless.

With the tie, Corban is now 3-2-1 overall, 2-0-1 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action. Meanwhile, Albertson finds itself at 3-2-1 overall, 0-1-1 in CCC action. The Warriors are next in action on Wednesday, September 19th, when they continue Cascade Collegiate Conference play against the defending 2006 NAIA Region I Tournament champions Concordia beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Warrior Field in Salem.
