The 6-foot-9 South Medford High School graduate eclipsed the 3,000-point mark early in the second half when he scored his 14th and 15th point via a patent Fiegi lay-in following an offensive rebound.  The four-year starter became the first player in the college’s history to score 3,000-or-more points and pulled down 1,000-or-more rebounds.  The big red-head has scored 3,020 points and pulled down 1,138 boards in three-plus seasons.

Corban shot 32-for-75 (42.7%) from the field, including 10-for-26 (38.5%) from beyond the 3-point line and 25-for-33 (75.8%) from the free throw line.  The Warriors recorded a season-high 61 rebounds, including 24 offensive boards, as they out rebounded the visiting Beacons by 24 (61-37).

Senior Chris Lynn (Kent, Wash.) aided Fiegi with 12 points, while fellow senior Joel Worcester (Eugene, Ore.) added 12 points and a game-high 6 assists.  Corban grabbed its largest lead when fan favorite and sophomore Joey Jackson (Creswell, Ore.) hit the Warriors’ final field goal – a jumper from the base line – with 44 seconds remaining to put the home team up by 44 points (99-55).

Northwest Christian shot 19-for-64 (2937%) from the field and was led by Garrett Crinklaw and Dustin Hinkle’s team-high 9 points each.  Jesse Taylor and two other Beacons added 8 and 7 points respectively, while Aaron Hegge and Gabe Buhler pulled down a team-high 6 rebounds.

With the win, Corban improves to 11-12 overall, while Northwest Christian falls to 8-12 overall.  The Warriors are next in action on Friday, February 3rd, when they travel north to Kirkland, Washington, for a match up with the Eagles of Northwest University beginning at 7:30 p.m.
