Justin Sherwood returned to the Corban College hardwood as head coach in 2002 after a stellar playing career from 1989-93.  After inheriting an inexperienced squad in his initial campaign, Justin has seen the Warriors improve dramatically over the past three years. In 2004-05 the squad ran off a program-best 18-game winning streak to commence the campaign and was ranked No. 1 in NAIA Division II for nearly a month.  The Warriors went on to advance to the national tournament and equal a program mark with a 28-7 overall record. Justin has a three-year coaching record of 56-41 at Corban.

"Certainly it is my desire to continue the success of the coaches before me," Justin said. "The program has reached a high point and I would like to reach the NAIA tournament often and qualify for the playoffs regularly. I want to bring in the right kind of students for Corban and guide them to graduation."

Justin commenced his collegiate coaching career at George Fox University where he was the number-one assistant from 1998-2002. He spent two seasons at Gladstone High School coaching the freshman boys and has worked various camps and clinics in Oregon and California for over a decade.

As a collegiate player, he was twice a National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) All-American and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-District selection. The 6-foot-1 guard made things happen on both ends of the floor. Justin is second at Corban in career points (2,710) and 3-pointers made (464). He is third in career steals (274) and tied for seventh in rebounds (712).

"My goal for the players I coach at Corban is that they will enjoy their basketball experience as much as I enjoyed mine," Justin said.

Aside from coaching, Justin is also an instructor at Corban in the Business Department. He met his wife, Jenni, while a student at the College and they have a son, Trey, and daughter, Reese. Justin and Jenni enjoy spending time with their family and playing golf.
