Ron Sisler begins his third season as the Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Corban College following three seasons as head golf coach at Santiam Christian High School in Corvallis, Oregon.

In two seasons at the helm of the Warriors, Ron has led Corban to a 10th and 9th place finish respectively at the NAIA Region I Championships. This past fall, Ron helped guide the Warriors to a school-record 5-under 283 in the second round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference #2 tournament hosted by Concordia University. During his time as head coach, Ron has led the Warriors to eight sub-310 rounds including six this past fall season.

Before taking the reigns as head coach at Santiam Christian, Ron was the assistant coach for eight seasons for the Eagles.  During his tenure as golf coach, Ron helped guide Santiam Christian to one state championship, one state runner-up, two 4th place finishes, and one 6th place finish.  Besides the state accomplishments, Ron assisted in seven straight district championships.

Ron has also been the boys’ basketball coach at Santiam Christian since 1992 and has compiled an overall record of 290-77.  Over his 15 years of coaching, Ron has guided Santiam Christian to five WVL championships, four district championships, two regional championships, and qualified for the league playoffs on thirteen different occasions.  Ron has guided Santiam Christian to seven state tournament appearances, while finishing 2nd twice, 4th twice, and 8th once.  Ron was chosen to coach the state All-Star game in both 1997 and 2003, as well as assistant coach the South squad in 2007.

Ron earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biblical studies and theology from Western Baptist College in 1991.

Ron currently resides with his wife, Karen, and their four children – Benjamin, Karlee, Madeline, and Emma – in Corvallis, Oregon.  Besides his head coaching duties, Ron will continue to instruct at Santiam Christian High School in the areas of computer applications and senior bible.
