MONROE, Ore. – Freshman Elizabeth Sherwin (Gresham, Ore.) recorded the seventh lowest score of the day thanks to a final round 24-over 96, as Corban's women's golf team finished third at the Cascade Collegiate Conference #3 Qualifier tournament Tuesday at Diamond Woods Golf Course.

Competing for the first time this spring in a 54-hole tournament, Corban battled with fellow conference opponents Concordia, Northwest Christian, and The College of Idaho in the next-to-last conference tournament of the season.

Sherwin missed tying her own school record by a mere three strokes, as the freshman was one of only seven players to record a score in double figures during today's final round. After posting the second lowest score in the program's young history, Sherwin moved into ninth place all alone after posting a three-round total of 88-over 304 that included a pair of scores in the 90s.

Along with Sherwin, freshman Emily Stupfel (Salem, Ore.) had the best turn around from Round 2 to Round 3 as she carded a 30-over 102 after posting a 45-over 117 in the second round. Thanks to her final round performance, Stupfel finished all alone in 11th place thanks to a combined total of 101-over 317.

Senior Caylin Bankston (La Grande, Ore.) finished 13th thanks to a three-round total of 111-over 327, while freshman Morgan Bars (Grants Pass, Ore.) was 16th overall with a final total of 146-over 362 to round out the Warriors' scoring.

Overall, Concordia took home its third straight conference tournament title thanks to a combined team total of 120-over 984. Meanwhile, Northwest Christian finished 116 strokes back in second place at 336-over 1,200 which was 110 strokes better than tournament-host Corban.

Individually, Concordia's Kim Lindow led from wire-to-wire en route to earning medalist honors with a three-round total of 22-over 238. Lindow outlasted fellow Cavalier teammate Lindsay Aho, who finished as the runner-up with a combined total of 31-over 247. Rounding out the top five were Concordia's Kim Tilton (33-over 249), Northwest Christian's Ashley King (35-over 251), and Concordia's Amy Esmeier (41-over 257).

Corban will return to the links on Monday and Tuesday, April 6th & 7th, for the final conference qualifier of the season hosted by Northwest Christian College at Tokatee Golf Course in Blue River beginning at 8:00 a.m.
