Ronald Sisler begins his first season as the Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Corban College following three seasons as head golf coach at Santiam Christian High School in Corvallis, Oregon. Before taking the reigns as head coach, Sisler was the assistant coach for eight seasons. During his tenure as golf coach, Sisler helped guide Santiam Christian to 1 state championship, 1 state runner-up, 2 fourth place finishes, and 1 sixth place finish. Besides the state accomplishments, Sisler assisted in seven straight district championships.
Sisler has also been the boys’ basketball coach at Santiam Christian since 1992 and has compiled an overall record of 246-66. Over his 13 years of coaching, Sisler has guided Santiam Christian to 5 WVL championships, 4 district championships, 2 regional championships, and qualified for the league playoffs on twelve different occasions. Sisler has guided Santiam Christian to 6 state tournament appearances, while finishing 2nd twice, 4th twice, and 8th once. Sisler was chosen to coach the state All-Star game in both 1997 and 2003.
Sisler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biblical studies and theology from Western Baptist College in 1991.
Sisler currently resides with his wife, Karen, and their four children, Benjamin (21), Karlee (19), Madeline (5), and Emma (2), in Corvallis, Oregon. Besides his head coaching duties, Sisler will continue to instruct at Santiam Christian High School in the areas of computer applications and senior bible.
