15 student-athletes land on CCC All-Academic Team

PORTLAND, Ore. – Fifteen spring sport student-athletes were named as part of the Cascade Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team thanks to their work in the classroom, as announced Wednesday by the Portland-based conference office.
Out of the 83 total athletes, Corban's golf and track programs landed a combined ten student-athletes on the team to lead the Warrior contingent.
To earn recognition as a CCC scholar-athlete, a student must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5, sophomore standing, and participate in at least 50 percent of his or her team’s contests.
The recipients for Corban were as follows...
- Sara Aikin (Track & Field) -- senior
- Caylin Bankston (Women's Golf) -- senior
- Brian Beeson (Track & Field) -- junior
- Jennifer Childers (Softball) -- senior
- Wade Douglas (Men's Golf) -- senior
- Nathan Furumasu (Men's Golf) -- junior
- Joshua Greenslade (Men's Golf) -- senior
- Danielle Jordan (Track & Field) -- senior
- John Kazmierski (Baseball) -- sophomore
- Carli Moller (Track & Field) -- junior
- Jill Nielsen (Track & Field) -- senior
- Tera Stegner (Track & Field) -- sophomore
- Derek Stokes (Baseball) -- junior
- Justin Trammell (Baseball) -- senior
- Jordon Weldon (Women's Golf) -- junior
Seven student-athletes earned their second All-Academic honor of the year, as Aikin, Bankston, Beeson, Jordan, Moller, and Nielsen were all named as part of the team during the fall and Douglas was a recipient in the winter.
Overall, Corban athletics landed 22 student-athletes on the conference All-Academic Teams during the 2007-08 seasons.
