Beau Batsell returns to the bench for his fourth season as an assistant coaching at Corban.  Beau was the head junior varsity coach and assistant to the varsity baseball team at North Salem High School before joining the Warriors’ staff.

Beau started his freshman year at shortstop then played three seasons at third base for the Warriors from 1999-02.  As a senior he was all-conference, all-region and an honorable mention NAIA all-American.  He was honorable mention all-conference as a junior and was twice selected the club’s most valuable player.  Beau was named the team’s top hitter and earned the region’s hitter-of-the-week accolade.

The Warrior standout is currently the program’s career leader in runs (127), hit by pitch (31) and stolen bases (48).  Beau is among the top-10 in program history in career batting average (.288), hits (183), runs batted in (80), doubles (33), triples (5), home runs (8), total bases (250), on-base percentage (.388) and base on balls (76).

Beau graduated from Mazama High School in Klamath Falls and majored in education at Corban.  Beau and former Warrior softball player, Kelly Haws, were married in the summer of 2005 and currently reside in Keizer.  Beau is currently teaching physical education classes in the Salem-Keizer school district and works full-time for the Marion County Juvenile Detention.
