Senior Jamie McGraw played this past summer for the AIA Alaska Fire and helped lead the team to its first-ever Alaska Baseball League title.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Upcoming senior leadoff hitter and starting center fielder Jamie McGraw (Gaston, Ore.) helped lead the Alaska-based Athletes in Action (AIA) team to its first-ever Alaska Baseball League championship this summer.

In his first season of AIA summer baseball, McGraw concluded the campaign as the team leader in walks (27), while finishing 8th in batting average (.283), 7th in hits (32), 6th in runs scored (18), and 2nd in stolen bases (8).

McGraw appeared in 39 of the team's 41 games, while starting 35. The switch-hitting center fielder batted either leadoff, eighth, or ninth in the order and recorded the game-winning hit in Alaska's 8-7 come-from-behind victory over the Anchorage Bucs on July 9th that started a seven-game winning streak for the Fire.

This is the third summer in a row that Corban has had at least one representative on an Athletes in Action team, as former Warrior Scott Fitchett (2002-06) played during the summer of 2005 and current Warriors Jordan Emery and Derek Stokes, each part of the Class of 2008, pitched for the New York-based AIA team last summer.
