Frantz & Spicer named to NAIA All-Region I Team

CALDWELL, Idaho – Senior Jeremy Frantz (Medford, Ore.) and sophomore Craig Spicer (Vancouver, Wash.) were named as members of the NAIA All-Region I Team when the squad was announced earlier today following the conclusion of the Region I Tournament.
This is the first All-Region I honors for both players in their career as a Warrior.
Frantz was named as a designated hitter after turning in a stellar season in which he led the Warriors in batting average (.354), doubles (14), slugging percentage (.476), on-base percentage (.418) and put outs (223), while appearing in twenty games as a designated hitter. The 6-foot-3 senior also finished second on the team in runs batted in (27), home runs (2), total bases (78), and hits (58), while tying for the team lead in fielding percentage at .996.
A graduate of South Medford High School, Frantz began the season by recording hits in 13 of Corban's first 14 games and registered a season-high three hits four times. Frantz knocked in a season-high three RBIs against Oregon Tech on April 21st thanks to a 3-for-4 performance.
Spicer, who was honored as a second baseman, led the Warriors in at-bats (183), total bases (79), runs scored (26), home runs (3), and triples (1), while finishing second in assists with 121 and doubles with 11.
The 6-foot-3 middle infielder began his first season as a Warrior recording hits in 10 of his first 11 games, while recording a season-high four hits against NCAA Division III member Pacific in a 4-for-5 performance at the plate.
This is the sixth and seventh All-Region I recognition for Corban College since 2000.
