KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Seniors Jeremy Frantz (Medford, Ore.) and Scott Fitchett (Sandpoint, Idaho) helped the Warriors snap a thirteen-game losing streak, as Corban's baseball team earned a conference double header split with the Hustlin' Owls of Oregon Tech, 2-4 & 9-3, on Saturday at Leo J. Bocchi Field.

In the second game of the afternoon, Frantz turned in a 3-for-4 performance at the plate, including a pair of doubles, with 3 RBIs, while Fitchett went the distance in the night cap and allowed 3 runs (all earned) on 6 hits with a game-high 5 K's en route to picking up his 3rd victory of the season to tie for the team lead in that category.

The Warriors scored three runs in the both the first and second inning, as Frantz, fellow senior Brett Timmerman (Medford, Ore.), and junior Darren Johnson (Vancouver, Wash.) each drove in a RBI in the opening frame. In the second inning, Frantz registered his 2nd and 3rd RBI of the game to go along with a RBI single from sophomore Craig Spicer (Vancouver, Wash.) giving the Warriors an insurmountable six-run lead (6-0).

Oregon Tech cut the Warriors' lead in half thanks to a 3-run third inning, as the Hustlin' Owls put three runs on the board via four hits for their only runs of the night cap.

In the fourth inning, Spicer single-handedly extended Corban's lead to four runs (7-3) when he recorded his team-leading second home run of the season -- a solo shot.

Unfortunately, Oregon Tech put three runs on the board (two unearned) in the third inning via three hits to take a two-run lead (3-1).

Corban cut the host Hustlin' Owls lead in half in the fourth inning when McGraw singled to center field allowing sophomore pinch runner Rondie Taylor (Clackamas, Ore.) to score from second.

In the sixth inning, Oregon Tech recorded the game's final run via a sacrifice fly by Jon Tapia to cap the game's scoring and hand the Hustlin' Owls their second straight victory over the Warriors.

Corban's junior starter Jordan Emery (Salem, Ore.) went the distance for the Warriors, allowing 4 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits with 1 strikeout.

On the afternoon, Frantz led the Warriors' offense with a combined 5-for-9 performance with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Meanwhile, McGraw went 4-for-8 with a run scored and a RBI. Heil and Spicer each collected a combined 3 hits off Oregon Tech pitching, while Timmerman and freshman Josh Warner (Independence, Ore.) had a pair of hits each in the twin bill.
