About Our Name It is the mission of Corban University to educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ. The Hebrew word for corban (qorban) represents the highest gift given to God. “…in view of God's mercy… offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1 NIV Our students are trained to become leaders who are set apart for a life of spiritual sacrifice and service, and able to advance as salt and light in a darkened world. CORBAN magazine is published three times a year by the Marketing & Communications Office of Corban University.
