Danielle Jordan, History major, Class of 2008
I transferred to Corban College after attending Liberty University for two years.  I chose the school because I wanted to be closer to home and attend a smaller Christian school.

The transition has been a great choice; Corban has been a great school for me in my academic and athletic endeavors. The social science major has been perfect in preparing me for a career in history. 

One of the aspects that I have truly loved at Corban is the great faculty. The individual attention that each professor devotes to his/her students is amazing. All the history professors have known my interest in pursuing further studies in history and have aided me in many ways. Inside and outside the classroom, they have challenged me in writing at a higher level and have helped me with choosing graduate schools.

After college, I plan on working as a museum curator in Southern California while pursuing my master’s degree in US history or archival studies. I believe that Corban has prepared me well in my research skills that will be necessary in work and in graduate school.  I have also enjoyed the in-depth class work that looks at history from a Christian perspective. I look forward to the plans God has for my life and the role that my experience at Corban may have in it.

I chose history as my major because I love studying it and seeing God's hand at work throughout history, in addition to that I knew it would would provide a good background and foundation for the political science field.

I then chose Corban because I wanted a Christian perspective on history and the fellowship of fellow believers. Also, I had heard good things about the professors and the program. The professors have a love of the subject that is contagious and makes me want to know more. After graduation I see myself working in the political field, more specifically in the area of public policy, in whatever job the Lord has for me, working to turn America back to Him
