Matt Strauser leads the choir and orchestra in the performance of Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi during the Corban Christmas program in December 2007.

Performance Opportunities
Corban supplies various venues for performances. This includes formal and informal recitals, choir and band concerts, chapel worship, touring ensembles, and Christmas Showcase. Students perform as soloists, group members, and accompanists.

Bands

Concert Band
Rehearses 3 days per week. There will be multiple concerts during each semester. Concert band is open to students with previous experience on a band instrument.

Jazz Band
Rehearses 2 days per week and will perform several concerts each semester. This class is open to students with previous experience on a band instrument, specifically desire saxophones, trombones, trumpets, drums set, piano, bass and jazz guitar.

Praise and Worship Band
Rehearses 3 hours on Monday evenings. Open to instrumentalists and vocalists. This ensemble will be leading worship in chapels and is open to students desiring to lead others in worship.

Choirs

Concert Choir
Women sign up for "Women's Chorale," men sign up for "Men's Chorus." Open to all students, and no audition is required. Members will be required to purchase performance attire. Students look forward to a fall retreat with the bands, Christmas concerts, and a spring regional tour.

Chamber Choir
By audition only and not open to freshmen. Auditions emphasize good vocal technique and sight singing. This group is devoted to the mastery and performance of historically significant choral literature.

Orchestra

Chamber Orchestra
The Chamber Orchestra meets twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Performances include significant literature during the Fall and Spring semesters. The Chamber Orchestra performs collaborative works for choir and orchestra and occasionally includes winds in concerts. Open to experienced string players.

Small Ensembles
Each semester students organize their own small ensembles to perform on and off campus.

Accompanying
There are many opportunities for students with the appropriate piano skills to be involved accompanying other students for lessons and performances. Accompanists are paid for their time. Students interested in accompanying must audition for the faculty.
