Pre-Nursing

AS HEALTH SCIENCE

Two schools—one world-class nursing degree.

Corban University offers a nursing program in partnership with George Fox University. Earn your two-year Associate of Science in Health Science (pre-nursing) from Corban and then continue directly into George Fox’s nursing program for two years of upper-division courses and practicums to earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Thrive in Corban’s Christ-centered learning environment as you take prerequisite courses such as Anatomy & Physiology, and remain closely connected to the Corban community after you continue into George Fox’s competitive nursing program. You’ll gain hands-on experience as you complete practicums and internships at the Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics, as well as Santiam Hospital in Stayton.

George Fox has reserved up to 15 spots each year specifically for Corban students. Earning an A.S. in Health Science at Corban gives you priority transfer status for admission to George Fox’s nursing program as a third-year student when you maintain a 3.0 GPA in your science and general education classes at Corban.

Students also have the option to take ONLY the A.S. in Health Science from Corban, graduating with a two-year degree and pursuing a variety of careers in healthcare, and/or completing their bachelor’s in nursing at any college they choose. Corban’s A.S. in Health Science is a rigorous program that aligns with many nursing school requirements and equips students to excel in nursing school and their careers.

The A.S. in Health Science is open to new, incoming freshmen. If you are a transfer student, please talk with your admissions counselor before applying.

  • You’re not intimidated by the idea of working long hours and conducting some physically demanding tasks.

Career Options
